The Potter’s Village is a charitable organization which was born into the heart of Dr. Mrs. Jane Irina Adu in May 2000. It is duly registered with the Department of Social Welfare to provide a safe haven for women and children who experience domestic violence, the needy, orphans, abandoned and homeless.
After seeing the physical and emotional abuse suffered by vulnerable people in society, this made her realize the need to establish Women’s Refuge and Child Survival Africa (WORCSA), now The Potter’s Village, too provide care and support to women and children who suffer all forms of abuse.
She has earned the title ‘The World’s Greatest Mum’ from the Staff, Children and Volunteers of The Potter’s Village through the wonderful work she is doing.
Over the years, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment to working with individuals and institutional stakeholders to overcome domestic violence and injustice against women and children in Ghana and the rest of Africa.
she has also worked with major stakeholders of the nation who have also stood with her all these years to ensure that she and her term get the support and protection their need to carry out work effectively.
